OPUS FOUR
OPUS FOUR
Opus Four was created after finding that audiences delight in hearing music for flute quartet. Born in the National Capital Region, the quartet brings together four diverse flautists that have captivated their listeners since the quartet's formation in 2002.
Opus Four fills a unique role in Ottawa, a city with a strong appetite for quality chamber music. The group's tasteful choice of repertoire combines many musical styles including contemporary Canadian music. This fresh approach to music is becoming Opus Four's trademark.
Opus Four is very excited to announce the release of their first CD, Dances of the Lake...and other stories. “Rhapsody on Greensleeves”, a track on the CD recorded with harpist Mary Muckle, has already been heard on CBC radio’s Tempo in April 2009. Please view the CD Release page for further information.
~ Opus Four is pleased to announce the release of it's first CD in December 2008.
